Who Opened That Patient’s File on Tuesday

A record was changed and nobody can say by whom. In a hospital that is not an inconvenience. It is something you will have to answer for to a family, and possibly to somebody else.

Each role sees its own screens

Front desk

Registration, the queue, billing at the counter. Not the clinical notes.

Doctor

Their patients for the day, the history, and the notes and prescription screen.

Pharmacy

Stock and what is issued against a bill. No patient history at all.

Administrator

Collections, staff and access. Set deliberately, once, and not handed round by somebody in a hurry on a Sunday.

Changes are logged

Who opened a record, what was altered, and when. The log is not there to catch your staff out. Its use comes on the day a family asks a question, when the honest answer has to come from somewhere other than memory.

When somebody leaves

Access closes with the exit. Closing it is the most commonly ignored part of hospital security, and it is one field on the staff record. Old logins outliving the people who owned them is how most small hospitals actually get into trouble.

This is not accreditation and not a legal opinion

No software makes a hospital compliant with anything. What is here is access by role and a record of changes, both of which are things you would show. Whether your hospital meets a particular standard is settled between you and the body assessing you, and anyone telling you a product settles it is selling you something.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is it ABDM or NABH certified?

No, and we will not say it is. The software keeps appointments, notes, bills and access logs. Accreditation is your process with the assessing body, and it is not a feature anybody can sell you.

Where is our data kept?

Hosted in the cloud by GullySystem. The data belongs to your hospital. The proposal sets out what a full handover looks like, including if you stop using the software.

Can a doctor see another doctor’s patients?

Set it as you want. Most clinics allow it, because a locum needs the history at nine on a Sunday night. Whatever you choose, who opened what is logged.

Can we restrict who sees billing?

Yes. Collections and staff salaries are usually limited to the administrator and accounts, and that is worth deciding before go-live rather than after a complaint.
